ClearZal Callus Creme

Calluses can be painful and unsightly, so although they can be left, this is not advisable, as they could develop complications. It is best to treat your calluses before they cause difficulties or pain. There are creams or mechanical treatments available – including foot scrubs, callus rasps, callus removers and other instruments to aid in the removal.

The majority of instruments are not recommended to be used at home, if you would like the callus removed with an instrument it is advisable to ask your podiatrist to complete this for you. If the instruments are used incorrectly or too much skin is taken off, the callus could be opened which may cause infection and pain.

The cream treatments tend to be available from the shop floor in your local pharmacy or supermarket. The majority of treatments for calluses are Urea based creams – Urea is a hydrating agent which works by attracting and retaining the skin’s natural moisture – however, sometimes, hydration alone isn’t enough…so we have a new, unique triple action treatment for the removal of calluses.
